Inter owned forward Mauro Icardi wants to stay with Paris Saint Germain, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how there have been no direct signals between the two clubs in recent weeks, partly due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, but regardless both parties are certain that there will be a positive end to the negotiations. The Nerazzurri would prefer to only talk cash, not interested in the possible inclusion of Leandro Paredes, and instead prefer to earn around €70 million.

Inter won’t offer PSG a discount on Icardi, the report continues, and understand that the Argentine striker’s desires may help to facilitate a deal. The 27-year-old, who is contracted to Inter until 2022, has made 31 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1958 minutes. In that time, he has scored 20 goals and provided four assists.
