Barcelona have decided to pull out from the race to sign French full back Layvin Kurzawa, amidst interest from Inter, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the French newspaper L’Equipe.
The report details how the 27-year-old Frenchman’s contract expires with Paris Saint Germain at the end of the season, and it won’t be renewed, meaning that he is available to sign on a free transfer in the summer. Barcelona were initially interested in him, but the player has changed agents and his entourage want to bring him to England, with Arsenal particularly interested. This has pushed the Blaugrana to focus on other options.
Inter are particularly interested in signing Kurzawa, the report continues, as the club are looking to strengthen their full back department ahead of next season. Coach Antonio Conte’s favourite transfer option is Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso, but he would be a more expensive operation considering that the 27-year-old can be signed on a free transfer.
