Inter have already contacted RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner’s agent, according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset earlier today.

The report details how the Nerazzurri are expecting to sell Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez to Barcelona in the upcoming summer transfer window. The Blaugrana are hoping to offer the Milanese club €60 million in cash as well as two players in exchange for the Nerazzurri star.

With Paris Saint Germain also likely to redeem Argentine striker Mauro Icardi, the report continues, the Nerazzurri are preparing a small overhaul of their attacking department. In order to continue strengthening the squad, Inter have contacted Werner’s agent, trying to beat out Liverpool for the 24-year-old German striker’s signature.

Werner has made 36 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2832 minutes. In that time, he has scored 27 goals and provided 12 assists, being one of the most dangerous strikers in the Bundesliga.
