Serie A teams will meet at the League Assembly on Wednesday to discuss the important issue of TV rights, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how Sky, Perform and Img owe the Serie A sides around €233 million, but haven’t yet paid the final instalment of the season. 18 out of the 20 Serie A clubs have already invoiced the companies, but they have refused to pay the sums.

It will be discussed at the League Assembly on Wednesday, the report continues, with there already being a plan B. that plan is to ask the government for a decree that would require the companies to pay the clubs, as otherwise they risk incredible financial difficulties. The TV rights holders are asking for a discount, which would also be applied for next season, and this will also be discussed at Wednesday’s meeting.
