In today’s print edition, Tuttosport have suggested that Inter may not have to make a move for a top midfielder in the upcoming Summer transfer window depending on how the current midfield fares if the season resumes.

Inter have been linked with several top names such as Paul Pogba and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic in the past few weeks and have also continuously been linked with moves for Brescia’s Sandro Tonali and Fiorentina’s Gaetano Castrovilli too.

If a midfield trio of Nicolo Barella, Marcelo Brozovic and Christian Eriksen comes good for Inter with Stefano Sensi existing as a back up option, there will be less of a need for Inter to go in for a top name, who would inevitably drastically reduce the playing time of one of Barella, Brozovic or Eriksen.

The report from the Turin based newspaper goes on to explain that Inter manager Antonio Conte is back pushing the club to sign Arturo Vidal from Barcelona, a player he knows well having worked with him at Juventus.

It goes on to add that Conte also wants Fiorentina’s Federico Chiesa and Chelsea duo Emerson Palmieri and Marcos Alonso too.

In the event that Lautaro Martinez departs, Conte wants one of Timo Werner or Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang brought in to replace him.
