Lautaro Martinez wants a transfer to Barcelona but there is no guarantee that Barcelona will be able to pull a move off because of this according to a report from Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo.

The Blaugrana club have been courting Lautaro for some time and have seemingly convinced the player to join by offering him a bumper €10 million a year contract with the club, a sum of money which is a number of times more than he is presently earning at Inter.

Due to there being no guarantees that they will land him, Barcelona management are taking the upmost precautions and have therefore identified RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner as someone they could move for if unable to get a move for Lautaro done.

Werner is a target of both Inter and Liverpool and has a variable release clause between €50-60 million within his contract. If RB Leipzig win the Bundesliga, it will be the latter figure, if they do not, it will be the former.
