RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner sits top of Inter’s list of potential replacements for Lautaro Martinez according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.

Lautaro continues to be heavily linked with a possible Summer transfer window switch to Barcelona and as a result Inter have been looking around at potential replacements.

Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was initially Inter’s first choice to replace the 22-year-old Argentine national team player but Werner is now Inter’s first choice as he is seven years younger than Aubameyang.

There is however no shortage of competition for Werner’s signature though with the report going on to explain that Liverpool, Paris Saint Germain, Bayern Munich and Juventus are all also interested in signing him.

24-year-old Werner has a release clause in his contract that can be activated up until June 15. If RB Leipzig are to win the Bundesliga it will be €60 million but if they fail to do so it will instead sit at €50 million, which will only make Werner even more attractive to interested clubs.
