Matias Bunge, the agent of FC Porto and Mexico attacker Jesus Corona, has revealed that several teams have contacted him in the past few months regarding the availability of his client, including Inter, ahead of the upcoming Summer transfer window.
“At the moment there are no open negotiations but I can say that we have been contacted by Inter. In fact, other important clubs, from Spain and England, have also contacted us,” Bunge admitted in an interview with Portuguese newspaper O Jogo, which appeared in today’s print edition.
“All of this happened before the explosion of the Coronavirus pandemic. Now, the teams have to reorganise themselves and then make decisions.”
The 27-year-old has been with his current employers since the Summer of 2015 and he has since went on to make 211 appearances across all competitions to date for them, in which he has scored 26 goals and tallied 51 assists.
The former FC Twente player has been virtually ever present for the Liga NOS side this term with him having appeared in all barring four of their 45 games played to date.
In his 41 appearances this term, Corona, who has a contract with FC Porto until 2022, has scored two goals and provided a total of 17 assists for his teammates.
