Manchester United and Chelsea have both joined the race to sign highly rated Fiorentina and Italian national team winger Federico Chiesa according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian newspaper Corriere Fiorentino.

The Premier League duo have joined Inter and Juventus in courting the 22-year-old who Fiorentina value at no less than €60 million.

Manchester United have expressed their interest in Chiesa to La Viola via an intermediary and are yet to have submitted any type of offer.

For the time being Juventus are leading the race whilst Inter are also right up there too. Both clubs, as per the report, will try to do a player(s) plus cash deal for him.

The report goes on to add that both Chiesa and his father and agent Enrico Chiesa would prefer to remain in Italy than make a move abroad which will come as a boost to both Inter and Juventus.
