Paris Saint Germain wish to keep a hold of on loan striker Mauro Icardi who wants to stay in the French capital according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 27-year-old Argentine joined Paris Saint Germain on a season long loan this past Summer with an option to buy of €70 million attached.

The newly crowned Ligue 1 champions have until the end of the month to tell Inter of their intentions and Inter management are expecting Paris Saint Germain to tell them just shortly.

The report goes on to explain that Paris Saint Germain would like a discount on Icardi due to the Coronavirus crisis which has led to player values plummeting and it adds that the two clubs could well agree upon a player being inserted into the deal.

Whilst in Paris, Icardi has made 31 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored 20 goals and provided a total of four assists for his teammates.
