Barcelona have joined rivals Real Madrid in wanting to sign Inter defender Milan Skriniar ahead of the upcoming Summer transfer window according to a report from the online edition of Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo.

In the past few days and weeks Skriniar has been linked with a move to Real Madrid with manager Zinedine Zidane said to be keen to bolster his defensive department due to not being convinced by some of the current defenders at his disposal.

Barcelona are now also interested in landing the Slovakian international centre back, who has a contract with Inter until the end of the 2022/23 season and is valued by Inter at no less than €70 million.

The report from Mundo Deportivo goes on to add that Inter have an interest in Barcelona central defender Samuel Umtiti, a player reports in the media have suggested Barcelona are keen to offload in the coming months.
