Lautaro Martinez to Barcelona is as good as a done deal, at least according to a report from Spanish news outlet Sport.

Inter had asked Barcelona for a player as part of a deal but rejected the chance to acquire Emerson Royal and Nelson Semedo.

Barcelona intend to swap Semedo with Manchester City’s Joao Cancelo and the Blaugrana club will not hesitate to move Cancelo on to Inter, who Inter are very welcome to acquiring after Inter manager Antonio Conte gave his blessing.

Jorge Mendes, who is the agent of both Semedo and Cancelo, is now at work trying to make ends meet but should not find doing so too difficult given Semedo does not want to sign an extension with Barcelona and Cancelo wants to leave Manchester City.

The report goes on to explain that Cancelo is very open to a return to Inter and in the coming days he will give his ok to a move to the Nerazzurri.

At that point Lautaro’s move to Barcelona will be one step away from materialising and Barcelona hope to be able to wrap a deal up, which will also include Arturo Vidal, for him by next week and then announce his signing in June.
