In an interview with Tuttosport, Gaetano Castrovilli’s agent Michelangelo Mineri has admitted to being unsurprised by how well his client his performed this season for Fiorentina in what has been his first year in Serie A.

“I followed Gaetano’s development over two years at Cremonese and what he has shown this season doesn’t surprise me,” he began the interview which appeared in today’s print edition.

“The impact he has had in Serie A has been important. He has adapted physically and shown his talent and personality.”

He then went on to reveal that his client has many admirers but despite this he has remained grounded and Mineri believes that having this quality will get his client a long way.

“He has attracted several admirers but has always done well to not get carried away. That’s one of his great qualities and will take him far.”

Mineri proceeded to reiterate his client his under contract in Florence for the long term and revealed his client’s biggest goals at the moment.

“Gaetano has a contract until 2024 with Fiorentina and two of his biggest goals are to play for the National team and in the European Championships.

“The stimuli are great regardless of the postponement. Although, it must be recognised that the competition being postponed can play in favour of guys like Gaetano, who will have added experience in the meantime.”

This season Castrovilli, who has drawn strong links to both Inter and Juventus among a number of other clubs, has made 26 appearances across all competitions to date. The 23-year-old midfielder has scored three goals and has also provided a total of two assists for his teammates.
