Christian Eriksen rejected a host of top European clubs prior to joining Inter according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Danish national team attacking midfielder joined Inter in the most recent January transfer window in a circa €20 million deal from Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur.

Before joining Inter, the report goes on to explain that the former Ajax man knocked back the advances of Paris Saint Germain, Bayern Munich and Manchester United. A phone call from Inter manager Antonio Conte is understood to have been crucial in his choice to join Inter on a four and a half year deal.

The report from the Milan based newspaper goes on to state that it is now time for Eriksen and Conte to find a happy medium between what they want.

As per the report, Eriksen wants to receive the ball as much as possible in order to make the greatest impact and want to be the master of his own destiny at Inter.
