Inter have practically already reached an agreement with Dries Mertens for him to join on a free transfer this Summer according to a report from Italian broadcaster TeleLombardia.

Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta extended a two year contract offer to the Belgian national team player, whose contract with current employers Napoli is due to expire at the end of next month.

The contract offer will see Mertens earn an annual salary of €5 million and he will also receive bonuses for joining the Nerazzurri club.

The report goes on to add that Mertens has already employed a real estate agent to find him a home in Milan and has been in contact with national team teammate Romelu Lukaku over a move to Inter.

This season Mertens has made 29 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored 12 goals and provided a total of six assists for his teammates.
