Inter have set their sights on bringing in Edinson Cavani and Dries Mertens in the upcoming Summer transfer window to bolster the attack according to a report from Italian broadcaster SportMediaset.

Both Cavani and Mertens current deals with Paris Saint Germain and Napoli are due to expire at the end of next month thus meaning both could be acquired on free transfers.

Inter have offered Mertens a two year deal with an annual salary of €5 million and he is in fact already looking for a home in Milan.

Inter have also shown an interest in bringing in Timo Werner from RB Leipzig but in order to afford him they need to raise funds and those funds could come via the sale of Lautaro Martinez.

The report goes on to state that those funds could instead be put toward signing Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali, who is at the top of Inter’s shortlist to reinforce the midfield.
