During an Instagram Live on his own profile, Inter defender Valentino Lazaro has spoken on his time with Inter so far.

The Austrian national team player joined Inter this past Summer in a circa €20 million deal from Hertha Berlin but having struggled to cement a place in Antonio Conte’s team in the first half of the season, he was shipped out on loan at Premier League outfit Newcastle United.

“At Inter I found a beautiful group of player made up of fantastic people, very strong and high level players. I wish the best to the Nerazzurri, forza Inter, always. Playing at San Siro is incredible, it is a historical stadium,” he began.

He proceeded to discuss what his best moment in a Nerazzurri shirt has been so far.

“I wish to thank the Inter fans for the support that they gave me in my months in Milan, my greatest moment was certainly the assist to Vecino in the match against Hellas Verona.”

Lazaro then sang the praises of Inter teen sensation Sebastiano Esposito and admitted to noticing the qualities of the youngster immediately.

“I immediately noticed the skills of Esposito in training, he is a footballer with ample room for improvement and full of desire to do.”

Next the former Red Bull Salzburg player spoke on his move from Inter to Newcastle United in the January transfer window.

“Moving from Inter to Newcastle was something new for me, the Premier League is a special league and I’m happy with how things are going. In any case, I wish the best to Inter.”

This season Lazaro has made a total of 16 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored one goal and provided two assists.
