Bayern Munich have asked Inter for more time to decide on whether they wish to sign Ivan Perisic on a permanent basis according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia.

The German Bundesliga club were due to inform Inter of their decision today but have instead asked for more time in light of the Coronavirus crisis, which has had a profound impact on football.

Perisic joined the Bavaria based side on a season long loan this past Summer and as part of the deal Bayern Munich obtained an option to buy him outright for €20 million.

Inter have made it clear to Bayern Munich that they will not grant them any discount for the Croatian national team winger and talks will continue between the parties, who have good relations, in the coming weeks.

The 31-year-old has made 22 appearances across all competitions for the Germans, in which he has scored five goals and tallied eight assists.
