Fiorentina midfielder Gaetano Castrovilli’s agent Michelangelo Minieri has reiterated that his client is happy in Florence amid continued speculation regarding his future in the Italian media as of late.

Castrovilli has been linked with both Inter and Juventus in particular among a few other clubs but Minieri has admitted he does not see his client moving on, at least in the short term.

“I don’t foresee anything about his future, it’s a difficult moment,” he began an interview with Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport, which appeared in today’s print edition.

“If there will be a transfer market, it will be a transfer market with little money, based mainly on intuition and swap deals. Castrovilli obviously is not part of an exchange path and he is doing very well in Florence.”

23-year-old Castrovilli has been a real revelation in his first season in Serie A and was rewarded with a new long term deal by Fiorentina near the end of last year which has him tied to the club until the end of the 2023/24 season.

This season the Italian national team player has made 26 appearances across all competitions to date. In just over 2200 minutes on the field, he has scored three goals and tallied two assists.
