Former Inter defender Daniele Adani discussed Brazilian target Kaio Jorge in an interview in today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

“I talked about Kaio Jorge in the live coverage with Bobo Vieri and Sky, discussing how Inter could have invested Lautaro Martinez’s capital gain if he moved to Barcelona in exchange for Griezmann.

“I saw him at the U17 World Cup where he was the absolute hero, I saw him in the Copa Libertadores enter less than 30 minutes from the end and practically win the game.”

Adani highlighted how impressive the player is, despite his young age, and compared him to Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus.

“We are talking about an 18-year-old, he’s a player who has football inside him, he has a great touch and intelligence. It’s clear that he doesn’t have any experience, but you have to move well in advance for Brazilian talents. He reminds me of Gabriel Jesus, he has the shot and knows how to play with others.”

Kaio Jorge, who is contracted to Brazilian side Santos until 2021, has made two appearances so far this season, for a total of 66 minutes.

In that time, he has scored one goal and already shown his qualities. Last year, the Brazilian teenager made three appearances for Santos in the Brazilian topflight.

Inter are looking to strengthen their attacking department in the upcoming summer transfer, already looking for a possible replacement for 22-year-old Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez, who is heavily wanted by Catalan giants Barcelona.

Whilst the Nerazzurri are considering veteran options, they also want a strong set of young players who can grow as a squad.
