Legendary former Inter and Barcelona midfielder Luis Suarez believes that the amount of reported interest in Inter striker Lautaro Martinez is evidence of him being what he describes as an interesting player.

The 22-year-old Argentine national team forward has found himself continuously linked with a move to Barcelona ahead of the upcoming Summer transfer window but the Blaugrana club are not the only club to have shown an interest in signing him.

Reports elsewhere in the media have suggested that Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Paris Saint Germain and Real Madrid have all also shown an interest in him at some stage as of late.

“I know little about Lautaro, because I have seen few Inter matches, but they speak very well of him. I know he is very good and that he has scored many goals in the league. He is a very interesting player if so many teams want him,” Suarez remarked in an interview with Spanish news outlet Marca.

“Messi knows Lautaro well because he plays in the national team with him. If he says yes, it means he is as comfortable with Lautaro as he is with Suárez.

“Inter are now interested in collecting the highest possible amount of money for him.”

Suarez joined Inter in the Summer of 1961 from Barcelona and was an integral part in Helenio Herrera’s Grande Inter side in the 1960s. The one time Balon d’Or winner made 329 appearances for Inter, in which he scored 55 goals.
