Inter are in the pole position in the race for Hellas Verona starlet Marash Kumbulla, according to a report from Italian media outlet FcInterNews earlier today.

The report details how other top clubs around Europe are interested in the 20-year-old Albanian defender, with Everton and Arsenal keen on him in the Premier League and RB Leipzig looking to bring him to Germany. The player is valued at around €30 million, although his value could drop due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.

Kumbulla himself is interested in a move to Inter, the report continues, and declined an offer from Napoli in the last few weeks. The Nerazzurri will offer the Gialloblu Eddie Salcedo and Federico Dimarco in exchange for the player, as well as cash.

Furthermore, Inter have an extra idea to convince Hellas Verona, the report highlights. The club have an option to buy Atalanta owned defender Davide Bettella for €10 million, a player who is already set to join the Gialloblu on loan in the summer. If the Nerazzurri decide not to purchase him, it would allow Verona to easily acquire the replacement for Kumbulla.
