The future of Inter owned wingback Valentino Lazaro is unclear, as Newcastle haven’t decided whether to permanently sign him or not, according to a report from Italian media outlet FcInterNews earlier today.

The report details how the 24-year-old Austrian joined the Magpies on a loan deal with a buy option attached in January, hoping that he will convince the club enough to permanently sign him at the end of the season.

Despite the rumours from England that Newcastle are planning to sign the player, they are currently undecided, and he could still return to Milan.

Inter coach Antonio Conte has no interest in re-integrating the player into the squad, the report continues, after failing to be impressed by Lazaro in the first half of the season.

The former Hertha Berlin midfielder could move elsewhere, with both RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt interested in him. He could also return to Berlin, although for now it looks unlikely.
