Liverpool are interested in signing Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic in the upcoming Summer transfer window according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset.

The Croatian national team midfielder has a €60 million release clause in his current contract which is very enticing for Champions League holders Liverpool.

The report does however go on to state that Inter are moving to ensure that the midfield maestro does not depart the club in the coming months.

Inter have in fact sped up contract extension talks and want to remove the release clause entirely from the former Dinamo Zagreb player’s contract as the presence of the clause is something that frightens Inter management.

Brozovic joined Inter on an 18 month loan back in January 2015 and was signed outright in the Summer of 2016. He has since went on to make 186 appearances across all competitions for the club, in which he has scored 23 goals and provided 22 assists.
