Inter linked Lorenzo Pellegrini will be the centre of Roma’s future project and will not be sold by the Giallorossi in the summer, according to a report from today’s print edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
The report details how the 23-year-old Italian midfielder, who is contracted to the Giallorossi until 2022, is one of the most important players for the club’s management, despite the many clubs linked with him in the past, including Inter.
The Rome based club are worried about his €30 million release clause and so are working hard to offer him a new contract.
The other player that will be at the centre of the future project is former Inter forward Nicolo Zaniolo, the report continues. The young Italian has recovered from a serious knee injury and will stay with the club alongside Pellegrini, who has no interest in leaving the Italian capital and wants to stay with the club for many years to come.
