Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger trying to convince Timo Werner to join him at Stamford Bridge according to a report from German football journalist Christian Falk, who works for Sport BILD.
The Premier League outfit are one of a host of clubs to have shown an interest in signing Werner in the coming months from RB Leipzig with Inter, Liverpool and Barcelona all also having been linked with making a move for him.
Rudiger and Werner are good friends with one another due to their time spent together at Stuttgart and in the German national team.
Werner has been one of the most prolific goalscorers in European football in the past few seasons and he appears set to depart RB Leipzig in the coming months but it remains to be seen exactly where that will be to.
The 24-year-old, who has a contract with RB Leipzig until the end of the 2022/23 season, has made 39 appearances across all competitions to date this term, in which he has scored 30 goals and tallied 12 assists.
