Inter manager Antonio Conte and chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta want a midfield department full of players capable of starting according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper.

The duo want the midfield to consist of seven players. Christian Eriksen, Nicolo Barella, Stefano Sensi and Marcelo Brozovic are as good as guaranteed to take up four of the seven slots.

Inter wish to bring in Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali, who not only fits the bill when it comes to Inter wanting to become more Italian but he is also a player not just for now but for the long term future too.

The sixth man in the midfield could be Radja Nainggolan. Nainggolan was judged to be out of the club’s project last Summer but with him having similar characteristics to Inter target Arturo Vidal, Inter could save money by just reintegrating him instead.

The report from the Turin based newspaper goes on to add that Inter’s midfield department will be completed by Roberto Gagliardini.
