Real Madrid Rival Barcelona In Interest In Inter’s Lautaro Martinez

Real Madrid are to rival Barcelona for Inter striker Lautaro Martinez according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, which was aired a short time ago.

Los Blancos have developed a strong interest in signing the 22-year-old striker and are in a much more healthy financial state compared to Barcelona, who have been courting the Argentine national team forward for some time now.

Real Madrid are looking to bring in a striker who can alternate with Karim Benzema having been left unimpressed by the performances of Luka Jovic and Mariano Diaz.

Barcelona still remain the favourites to sign the former Racing Club player, who Inter are insistent they will only allow to leave if his €111 million release clause is triggered.

The report also goes on to explain that Inter have two conditions that must be met before agreeing to let the player go. The first is that they receive a satisfactory offer and the second is that they have a replacement for him lined up.

This season Lautaro has made 31 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored 16 goals and provided four assists for his teammates.
