Juventus are in pole position in the race to sign Inter target Emerson Palmieri, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how the 25-year-old Italian Brazilian wants to return to Italy and seems destined to be sold by Chelsea in the upcoming summer transfer window, after two and a half years in London. The former Roma full back wants to be a part of the Italy squad for next year’s European Championship and so wants a starting spot at club level.

Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici has already been in contact with Emerson’s agent, the report continues, and the Bianconeri are ahead of the Nerazzurri due to the excellent relationship between the Turin based club and the Blues.

Emerson has made 18 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1341 minutes. In that time, he has provided one assist.
