Former Bayern Munich left back Bixente Lizarazu suggested that Inter linked Corentin Tolisso should leave the German club if he wants in an interview with German newspaper Abendzeitung as reported by FcInterNews earlier today.

“If he thinks he doesn’t stand a chance and doesn’t feel good, it might be better to try something new. Sometimes it happens in a career. But I hope that Tolisso can withstand the strong competition in midfield. You must be a great fighter in a club like Bayern. Tolisso is a great player.”

The 25-year-old Tolisso, who is contracted to Bayern Munich until 2022, has been linked with a move to Inter for some time now, as the Nerazzurri are looking to strengthen their squad as much as possible in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Tolisso has made 24 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1359 minutes. In that time, he has scored three goals and provided five assists, struggling to earn consistent playing time in the league due to various injuries and being benched regularly.

The 25-year-old Frenchman also struggled last season in Germany with the Bavarian club, making only four appearances across all competitions, for a total of 81 minutes. Tolisso suffered a cruciate ligament rupture, which ruled him out for the rest of the season.
