Italian Media Reports Inter Considering Reintegrating Radja Nainggolan In Squad

Inter CEO Beppe Marotta has identified Radja Nainggolan as the replacement for Arturo Vidal, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how coach Antonio Conte has been keen to sign Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal for some time now, but the Nerazzurri’s management don’t want the player to be included in the deal for Argentine forward Lautaro Martinez. Marotta has identified Nainggolan as a player that could fill that role for Conte, perfect considering the player’s current situation.

Nainggolan has spent this season on loan with Cagliari, the report continues, but the Sardinian club are unlikely to permanently sign him, considering their current financial situation and the player’s high wages. Instead of selling the Belgian midfielder, the Nerazzurri are considering integrating Nainggolan into the Inter squad again, giving Conte a player with similar qualities to Vidal. The 32-year-old Belgian has impressed on loan this season with the Rossoblu, scoring five goals and providing six assists.
