Italian Media Claims Man Utd Lead Race To Sign Inter & Juventus Target Federico Chiesa

Manchester United are ahead of Inter in the race to sign Fiorentina talisman Federico Chiesa, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Florence based newspaper La Nazione.

The report details how the Tuscan club are prepared to sell the 22-year-old Italian forward, who is contracted to the club until 2022, in the summer if the right offer arrives. Manchester United are ahead of Inter, as the Red Devils are looking for a new number nine and the idea of playing in the Premier League may tempt Chiesa.

The Florence based club are planning to keep Italian midfielder Gaetano Castrovilli, the report continues, and will make him one of the stars of the club. In regard to Inter owned midfielder Radja Nainggolan, his future is still unclear, and Fiorentina haven’t made a decision yet.

Chiesa has made 26 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2117 minutes. In that time, he has scored seven goals and provided five assists.
