Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Pradè discussed Inter target Federico Chiesa and his future in an interview with Italian radio broadcaster Radio Uno earlier today.

“We want to be a club of arrivals, not of departures.”

The director suggested that the 22-year-old Italian forward would be welcome to continue his career with the Viola, if he wishes to do so.

“For Fiorentina it would be a great honour, it takes two to do these things. The President reiterated yesterday, Federico knows he is a footballer appreciated by the club, it will depend on him.”

Finally, Pradè spoke about how the Florence based club are looking to grow and expand, rather than simply being content with their current strength and position in Italian football.

“We demonstrated this already in January by spending that €70 million. We made it clear that Fiorentina want to grow, signing players for the following season, such as Amrabat and Kouame, so there’s the thought of forming something for the future. We have an advantage over others because we’ve already moved on the market.”

Inter and Juventus are both incredibly keen to sign the 22-year-old Italian forward, who is contracted to the Florence based club until 2022. Chiesa has made 26 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2117 minutes. In that time, he has scored seven goals and provided five assists. The Nerazzurri know that Chiesa will be expensive but they are hoping to fund the deal for the player with the money earnt from selling Lautaro Martinez to Barcelona.
