Fiorentina will move for Inter’s Radja Nainggolan in the coming months if Federico Chiesa departs the club according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper La Nazione.

Whilst the Belgian is certainly not a replacement for Chiesa, La Viola would use the money raised through any sale of Chiesa to bring in Nainggolan from Inter.

The report explains that Fiorentina could do a loan with obligation to buy deal for the former Roma midfielder with the obligation to buy set at €20 million.

Nainggolan is currently out on loan at Cagliari from Inter and is facing an uncertain future. Some reports in the media have suggested that he is destined to be moved on upon his return whilst other reports have suggested that there is a chance that he could even be reintegrated.

This season the 32-year-old has made 24 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored five goals and tallied six assists.
