Alvaro Morata fears the prospect of losing his place in the Atletico Madrid team to Edinson Cavani according to a report from Italian news outlet FCInterNews.it.

Cavani has been heavily linked with a move to the La Liga side and Morata is worried that the Uruguayan’s arrival could push him down the pecking order at the Wanda Metropolitano.

The report goes on to explain that Inter could perhaps take advantage of this and the Nerazzurri have already been in contact with the player’s agent Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Bozzo over a possible move.

Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta has excellent relations with Bozzo having conducted several deals in the past involving his clients and one of those deals was in fact involving Morata.

The report also goes on to add that Bozzo represents Inter transfer target Sandro Tonali too and Inter want to close a deal for the 20-year-old as soon as possible amid interest from Juventus.
