Inter have reignited their previous interest in signing Atalanta striker Duvan Zapata according to a report from Italian news outlet PassioneInter.com.

Inter have missed out on Dries Mertens and have found it difficult to do a deal for Edinson Cavani which is why the club have reignited their interest in the Colombian forward.

For the time being there has been no contact between the clubs or between Inter and the player himself but the report claims that he would be happy to join Inter.

The good relations between the two clubs could well help a deal occur. Relations between the clubs are good due to recently completed deals involving Alessandro Bastoni and Roberto Gagliardini and the two clubs are also currently in talks over Sebastiano Esposito.

The report also goes on to add that Esposito could be used as part payment in a deal for Zapata and Inter could obtain a buy back option of sorts on him.
