Inter manager Antonio Conte has asked Inter management to sign him Real Madrid’s Federico Valverde according to a report from Spanish news outlet Defensa Central.
The report explains that Conte has asked club management to make a great effort to bring the Uruguayan midfielder to the club.
It adds that Inter president Steven Zhang is weighing up making an offer somewhere in the region of €60-80 million for the 21-year-old and such an offer is likely to be rejected by Real Madrid, who see Valverde as a player who could play for them for the foreseeable future and have no plans of entering into negotiations for him.
This season Valverde, who has a contract with Los Blancos through to the end of the 2024/25 season, has made 32 appearances across all competitions to date.
In his time on the park, which totals just shy of 2100 minutes, the former Penarol player has scored two goals and has provided four assists for his teammates.
