Inter do not want a repeat of the Nicolo Zaniolo situation with Sebastiano Esposito according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Inter are currently in talks with Esposito over a first professional contract until 2025. The parties are currently some way apart in talks but Inter are hopeful of being able to reach an agreement with the teen sensation.

There has been no shortage of rumours in recent days regarding Esposito’s future at the club with many reports elsewhere suggesting he could be sold but this report explains that the only way the Italian youth national team will leave the club is on loan.

The reason for this is Inter do not want to let him go permanently and see him flourish elsewhere just like what happened with Nicolo Zaniolo, who Inter inserted in a deal with Roma to sign Radja Nainggolan back in 2018.
