Negotiations between Inter and Barcelona over Lautaro Martinez are becoming increasingly complicated according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset, which was aired a short time ago.
Barcelona seemingly see Lautaro as their top transfer target ahead of the upcoming transfer window and have been in talks with Inter for some time over the highly rated 22-year-old Argentine national team striker.
The report goes on to explain that Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta far from appreciated the recent attack he was subjected to in Catalan media where he was accused of trying to put pressure on Barcelona by lying about the expiration date of Lautaro Martinez’s €111 million release clause.
This season Lautaro, who has a contract with Inter through to the end of the 2022/23 season, has made 31 appearances across all competitions to date.
In his time on the park, which totals just over 2400 minutes, Lautaro has scored 16 goals and provided four assists for his teammates.
