Inter are looking to sign French defender Malang Sarr on a free transfer in the summer, allowing them to invest money into the deal for Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.
The report details how the 21-year-old French centre back’s contract will expire with Nice at the end of the month, allowing him to be signed on a free transfer. The player is worth around €20-25 million and so signing him on a free transfer allows the club to divert more funds to the deal for Tonali.
Signing Sarr would also allow the Nerazzurri to keep their promise with Hellas Verona, the report continues. The Milanese club could still sign Albanian talent Marash Kumbulla in the summer and then send him back to the Gialloblu on loan for next season, with Sarr joining the squad to strengthen the defensive department.
