Italian journalist Fabio Ravezzani spoke about Inter coach Antonio Conte’s comments that he was satisfied with the Nerazzurri’s performance in last night’s 1-1 draw against Napoli in a post on his Twitter page.

The report details how the Milanese club drew 1-1 to Napoli last night in the Stadio San Paolo, but the result wasn’t enough to bring them to the Coppa Italia final next week, thanks to a 1-0 loss to the Partenopei at the San Siro before the Coronavirus stop three months ago.

Conte suggested that he was happy with the performance despite the draw, but the Nerazzurri should have won considering the strength of the squad compared to the Gennaro Gattuso’s team.

Inter striker Lautaro Martinez also disappointing the report continues, and was seemingly invisible for the majority of the game. Conte will need to figure out what went wrong across both legs and look to fix it, rather than simply being satisfied with the performance and moving on.

“Conte complains that Napoli ‘only defend.’ This is true but it is up to Inter to play the game, he has a decisively better squad. This is why the tactical approach by Gattuso was the winning one. Then, of course, if Lautaro played like he is able to, we would be speaking of a great Inter.”
