Manchester United may be willing to reintegrate Alexis Sanchez into the squad after his loan spell expires with Inter, but only if he is willing to transition into a squad player, according to a report from English tabloid The Mirror.

The report details how the Red Devils signed the player from Arsenal in January 2018, giving him a £400,000-a-week contract that won’t expire until 2022.

He has only scored 32 league goals for Manchester United in that time, massively disappointing. He also hasn’t impressed much whilst on loan with Inter so far this season, although the Milanese club are considering signing him on loan for another season.

Manchester United would be willing to reintegrate Sanchez into the squad, the report continues, but only if he agrees to change his role. Instead of being a guaranteed starter, the 31-year-old Chilean would have to agree to be more of a squad player, filling in when necessary and rotating often at the whim of coach Ole-Gunnar Solskjaer.
