Inter could use a 3-4-1-2 system more often following its usage in this past weekend’s Coppa Italia semi final second leg draw away to Napoli according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Inter swapped from their tried and tested 3-5-2 system for the match at the Stadio San Paolo and although Inter failed to win the match, the 3-4-1-2 system proved to be the best system to get the best out of January transfer window recruit Christian Eriksen.

The Danish national team player scored Inter’s only goal of the game, directly from a corner, and put in his best performance to date in an Inter shirt since his arrival from Tottenham Hotspur.

It now remains to be seen if Eriksen can make a similar impact in the league, which is due to resume this coming weekend having been on hold for over three months due to the Coronavirus crisis.

Since his arrival, Eriksen has made nine appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored two goals and provided a single assist.
