Bordeaux have sparked an interest in signing Inter midfielder Borja Valero according to a report from today’s print edition of French news outlet France Football.

The Spaniard’s contract with Inter is due to expire at the end of the month and it currently remains unclear what Inter’s intentions are for the player who joined them back in 2017 from fellow Serie A side Fiorentina.

The report explains that Bordeaux boss Paulo Sousa, who previously managed Valero at Fiorentina, is thinking about bringing him to the Ligue 1 side due to his experience and technical ability.

35-year-old Valero’s agent recently admitted his client would like to finish his career in Italy and it now remains to be seen whether the player’s mind could change due to the possibility of being able to work with Sousa again.

This season Valero has made 15 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored a total of two goals.
