Italian football journalist Fabrizio Biasin has shared his belief that Lautaro Martinez will probably leave Inter in the coming months.

The highly rated 22-year-old striker has been heavily linked with a potential switch to La Liga powerhouses Barcelona in the upcoming transfer window.

Inter continue to demand that his €111 million release clause is met or they will not let him go and it has been widely reported that Barcelona have zero intention of paying the clause with them seemingly intent on doing a player or players plus cash deal.

“Will he leave? Probably yes. Is that why he played badly the other night? Lautaro played badly because he happened to play badly, it happens to 30-year-olds, let alone 23-year-olds,” Biasin remarked as part of his latest editorial piece for Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.

Biasin also shared his opinion on whether the former Racing Club player is actually worth as much as Inter are continuing to demand for him.

“The truth is that Lautaro is not worth €111 million because no footballer is worth it, very rare expections aside. If Barcelona find the money, Inter will let him leave reluctantly but will not cry about it.

“Speaking of the clause, it expires on July 7 but it counts for very little. Negotiations, if any, will continue but Inter will not change the price.”

This season Lautaro has made 32 appearances across all competitions to date. In his time on the park, which totals just over 2500 minutes on the park, he has scored 16 goals and provided a total of four assists for his teammates.
