Former Inter midfielder Hernanes has revealed that he has only one regret from the near two years that he spent with the club.

The former Brazilian national team player, who is currently on the books of Campeonato Brasileiro Série A side Sao Paulo, joined Inter in January 2014 from fellow Serie A side Lazio and he left Inter for arch rivals Juventus in August of the following year.

“It was a wonderful experience at a great team. The only regret perhaps is that I had the ambition to play in the Champions League with Inter, but I did not succeed,” he remarked during an interview with Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset, which was aired yesterday afternoon.

Hernanes, who has also played for Lazio and Hebei China Fortune during his playing career, then spoke on the race for the Serie A title.

“I know that Juve never gives up, they have won eight times in a row and they always want to win. If Lazio wins it would be spectacular, so I am cheering for Lazio.”

In conclusion, he shared his thoughts and feelings on the Suning and Antonio Conte combination at Inter.

“It is a good mix. The Chinese want to invest and there is a person with a winning mentality in Conte.”

During his spell with the Nerazzurri, the 35-year-old made 52 appearances across all competitions to date in which he scored seven goals and provided 10 assists for his teammates.
