Having praised Inter manager Antonio Conte and teammate Romelu Lukaku, Inter central defender Stefan de Vrij has now sang the praises of Christian Eriksen.

Danish national team attacking midfielder Eriksen arrived at Inter in a circa €20 million deal from Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur during the most recent January transfer window.

The former Ajax player made a slow start to life in Nerazzurri but impressed in this past weekend’s draw with Napoli and de Vrij believes that the 28-year-old will be able to make an impact at the Nerazzurri.

“Eriksen will be decisive. He is getting used to things, he is learning the language and we can see in training that he is very strong. He has great qualities and we will soon see them on the field too,” de Vrij remarked as part of an interview with sports broadcaster DAZN earlier on today.

de Vrij joined Inter in the Summer of 2018 on a free transfer after his contract with fellow Serie A side Lazio expired. The former Feyenoord player has since went on to make 67 appearances across all competitions to date for the club, in which he has scored four goals and provided five assists.
