There was more than just a change of system behind Christian Eriksen’s good performance in this past weekend’s match against Napoli according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Danish national team player put in his best performance to date in an Inter shirt as Inter drew 1-1 away to Napoli and whilst the system being changed from a 3-5-2 to a 3-4-1-2, which allowed him to play in his natural position of attacking midfielder had a big impact, there were several other contributing factors.
Eriksen has improved his understanding of the Italian language with thanks to watching Italian television series whilst he was stuck at home.
The former Tottenham Hotspur player feels a lot more integrated into the group, even if he is still speaking little and another contributing factor is his vastly improved physical condition.
Since his arrival at Inter in January, Eriksen has made nine appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored two goals and provided a single assist.
