Inter’s remaining home fixtures in the 2019/20 Serie A season could be a blessing in disguise for their Serie A title hopes according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

Inter are due to face Sampdoria, Sassuolo, Parma, Brescia and Bologna at San Siro and do not have any matches at home to any side in a European football qualification spot, sides Inter have greatly struggled against this campaign.

Inter have in fact won just two of seven matches against sides occupying a European football qualification spot in the league and in games against big sides in other competitions Inter have not fared much better.

The Nerazzurri failed to record a win in either leg of the Coppa Italia semi final against Napoli and won just one match against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League group stages whilst losing the other and also losing twice to Barcelona.

The report also highlights that this season’s top scorer Romelu Lukaku has been far from successful in the 13 games, with him managing to net just three goals in them.
