Inter are in talks with Manchester United over extending Alexis Sanchez’s loan deal according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

The former Barcelona and Arsenal attacker joined Inter on a season long loan this past Summer and having missed out on Dries Mertens, Inter are pursuing a possible loan extension until the end of next season.

The report from the Turin based news outlet does however warn that the Chilean national team player’s annual salary of €12 million is a hindrance to negotiations.

Inter are not even paying as much as half of his wages at the moment and it remains to be seen whether Manchester United would be happy for this to continue or if they would demand Inter to pay more of his wages if the loan is to be extended.

Whilst on loan at Inter, Sanchez has made 16 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored a single goal and provided a total of three assists for his teammates.
